Photography to me, is telling a story with photos… it is a conversation taking place between my lens and my audience. I get an absolute thrill when I and my camera are 'forgotten' during a shoot and true emotion and personality of my clients come to the fore. My aim is to bring out your personality and to document it with my camera. the more emotion and interaction between my subjects, the happier I get. I mix a photojournalistic and un-posed style, with a more 'staged' style of photography. Each moment is an emotion untold and waiting to be ‘frozen’ in time by the click of my camera. I am one of the lucky people who can say that I do what I love and I love what I do. My passion lies with people and documenting them in the best possible way I know how to. They got married in the NG church in Wellington and held their reception at Mayerskraal just outside town. Melanie looked stunning in her little chiffon dress and ruffled jacket! We had the honour of photographing Mario & Janine on their wedding day. The reception was held at Olivello Restaurant ( on Marianne Farm). The ceremony and the reception were both held in the garden, which created a very relaxed and informal atmosphere. We had the honour of photographing their wedding yesterday and had such a blast. Their caring nature and bubbly personalities ensured that much fun was to be had during the shoot. It was quite a long drive there and we had to leave the day before. What more can one ask for than a really fun couple, who are very vibrant and totally in love! It was great fun and the weather played along nicely. Wishing you a wonderful future ahead flled with tons of love and joy: ) It was slightly overcast, with the sun peeping out from behind the clouds at just the right moments, which is enough to make every photographer smile and very happy. The reason we as photographers love clouds is because the act as a big diffuser, softening any hard shadows that are made by the sun and creating a very flattering and soft light. Linton & Lyzelle were great fun to photograph and seemed quite comfortable in front of the camera. We took some of the couples photos at Monte video guesthouse, where Benita got dressed. The flowers were in full bloom and a beautiful purple that fitted inn with the wedding colors Benita had chosen for their wedding. They are such a fun loving couple and it definitely shows in their photographs! i can see you go the extra mile to make photos that are special and make the bride and groom look really good; ) A lot of love and attention to detail was put into the day and made it a very special event. We couldn’t have wished for a nicer day and from the word go everything just seemed to fall into place perfectly. The wedding was a truly heartwarming experience for Jorina and I, and we felt truly privileged to being a part of this very special occasion. Not only do they capture the excitement and joy of the day, but they are a piece art in themselves! As always she is such a pleasure to work with and it was a lot of fun working by her side. The great thing about assiting for Roberta is that she allows us to take photos inbetween carrying and moving around flashes and tripods. Not only does it help to build a portfolio, but she patiently gives advice and little tips that just make all things photography so much easier. They attract me like a magnet attracts metal and they always inevitably end up being photographed from all possible angles!
