Rope Access Inspection (RAI) was established in 2009 with wide experience of offshore oil platforms, drill rigs, FPSO’s, Refineries and servicing rigs coming into Cape Town harbor for refurbishments. The commitment was relatively focused on safety using IRATA procedures & guidelines and doing whatever was required. During 2012 RAI made a vision change and decided to focus primarily on the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial and Renewable industries. To confirm this vision RAI made serious adjustments to employment policies and substantial investment in training and continuous re-assessment. Broadened base of skills in technologies and multi-skilled staff. But, at all times, maintain the highest standard of safety for work at height. We’ve established a reputation of safely and efficiently getting the job done. RAI constantly researches the latest technologies available for inspection but proven efficiency and cost effectiveness of these technologies inform our decision when deciding on technology to use and thus staff training to be done! Operator companies have all been the recipient of expensive, hard to understand asset preservation, asset integrity & fabric maintenance programs, RAI realized that there is a chronic need for improvement to the services offered. After listening to all the concerns we ran a RCA (Root Cause Analyses) on the services and programs offered to the industry, RAI then used these findings as the starting point of the Asset Preservation System ( APS ). Using RBI (Risk Based Inspection) & Industry Best Practice we analyze and conclude on risk, whilst aligning with the Clients operational culture. RAI will mobilize a small specialist team to perform an asset assessment and generate work packs. Work packs will include logical and auditable timelines for scope of work, materials, personnel and costing. Dependent on SOW, size of work packs and the client’s budgetary requirements, RAI will mobilize multi-disciplined teams to perform all the works. The Asset Preservation System (APS) is quality, budget and transparency focused system. Safe and successful lifting operations depend, in large part, on the continued safety of the lifting equipment and accessories that are used. Failures in this kind of equipment can result in significant or even fatal injuries. Health and safety law therefore places a number of specific obligations on those providing, controlling and using lifting equipment to properly manage these risks. on lifting chains and slings), or make checks on a daily basis (eg for lift trucks) employers should ensure that lifting equipment is thoroughly examined (normally once or twice a year but, in some cases, this may be more or less frequent) These checks are necessary to verify that the lifting equipment can continue to be safely used. Membership of LEEA gives us a competitive edge and benefit from unrivaled access to all the latest technical, legal and safety information necessary to operate successfully in today’s lifting equipment industry.
