We have been blessed with our premises inside the Water World on Strand Beach Road, ensuring close proximity to the beach and main surfing area. It is a safe, enclosed area offering a cafe, toilets and showers. Established in 2003, Son Surf Schools have been sharing the joy of surfing with thousands of stoked waveriders. Each Son Surf School aims to give you an authentic surfing experience. Located in Strand & Melkbos (Cape Town) as well as Jeffreys Bay, each Son Surf School aims to give you an authentic surfing experience. We welcome all ages, male and female, beginner or advanced surfer to any of our surf lessons or for equipment rental. Our motto carries some of our philosophy and we are stoked you’ve chosen to embark on this epic adventure that is surfing. Son Surf School Melkbos operates on the main beach in Melkbosstrand which has a perfect wave for beginners and more advanced surfers alike. We have partnered with international agents and local accommodation establishments to bring you tailor-made surf trip package deals. Book a one-on-one session with a coach to get the most out of your surf lesson. Beginner to Intermediate surf coaching is available. We kindly request that you pay in advance for your lesson. Bring along boards or suits you want to sell and we will do our best to find a new owner. Please note a small commission of 10% of the sale price is applicable if we sell your equipment for you. Package lessons to be paid for in full before first lesson commences. Book a one-on-one or private group session with a coach to get the most out of your surf lesson. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced surf coaching is available. Coaching for the advanced surfer includes filming, video analysis and contest strategy. Bring your dings to Son Surf School Strand (194 Beach Road, Strand) to have it fixed. We do fibre-glass repairs on dings of all sizes, and can replace plugs and fins.
