Such a wonderful place for making new friends, going out or just relaxing. It has a nice, clean communal kitchen where we ended up cooking and eating together and really pretty mosaic and paintings. But there are also many great places on your doorstep in obs- cafe ganesh on Friday nights is wicked! We stayed four nights in this backpacker hostel which lies close to a trainstation which brings you easy to Cape Town downtown for only half a euro. There's lot to see in the neighboorhoud and a main street with many good restaurants and with a good evening outdoor ambiance when you don't prefer staying in the evening in Cape Town. If you want to have a local experience, this beautiful house in Observatory gives you more than a place to sleep! With a kind and friendly staff team, you gonna find a home there! Perfect place if u don't want to stay in the city center, but still very close! The hostel has an amazing atmosphere and the staff help out with everything at all times. The place just has an amazing vibe and a feeling of home. Things are kept clean, and someone is always there if need be. It's quiet and staff ensure that people respect each other' needs. Felt right at home the first night.and it continued throughout the stay. The staffs are very hands on always willing to help out and when you go out you feel like a local which is lekker. Close to everything you'd need to have a fab time n CPT!! Friendly people, a big kitchen and a living room and shops and bars nearby. At first, we were a little surprised that the 4-person room didn't have an en suite bathroom, since we thought that it did. Nothing fancy, but very cozy and inviting with a great wifi connection. The bathroom is a little small but the showers are quite nice. Definitely a good place to go if you're looking to explore the city and its nightlife. Observatory is great, really vibrant compared to most other Cape Town suburbs. African Heart made a great base of operations, and the staffed were very chilled and helpful. Whenever we needed advice for a tour or trip we received great help from staff. Located in the funky Observatory with a great selection of bars and restaurants all within walking distance, 'OBZ' is a cultural centre of Cape Town with many creatives choosing to live in its bohemian atmosphere under the gaze of Table Mountain, and a short journey into the city centre is easily done by car, train, bus or taxi. The Lodge is run by a team of experienced travellers and we are focussed on superior service in a relaxed, friendly environment that hopes to be your perfect start to your travels throughout this amazing part of the world.
