Welcome to ALAS Academy, Taking our students along the Track of Inspiration. ALAS Academy is a unique and different Performing Arts, Language, Fitness and Educational academy. Not only do they cater for the cultural side of the equator, but for the Academic side as well. Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2009 and achieved my licentiate in stage performance, acting and voice through Trinity. Opportunity to inspire so many young souls and be inspired myself. It brought me so much joy and helped me though the toughest of times that make up being a teenager and adolescent. ALAS Academy gives me an incredible amount of energy and drive to make this the best performing arts. Started this journey at the age of 21 years old in 2010 and we are still growing weekly! My covers are soulful adaptations of well know pop songs and well aged classics. I’ve taught all ages from all backgrounds privately as well as at the German School in Cape Town, School of Rock Claremont, Pneumatix Performing Arts School, and Hout Bay International School. Have a good laugh as you train your facial muscles to get the pronunciation right and see how this helps you to spell the words correctly. Either way, your outlook broadens as you become aware of the wonderful opportunities that can take you beyond what you already know. Amy sets a strong multi-talented example and creates a safe space for learning to take place by respecting each person as a whole and the path they are currently on. My passion for teaching Spanish and Portuguese is to see the students magnify their talents and excel.
