Alcatraz Security Gates manufactures and installs sliding & swinging driveway security gates,  palisade fencing, spanish bars, burglar proofing, pedestrian security gates, as well as automation of gate motors and installation of intercom systems. Alcatraz Security Gates, palisade fencing & burglar barriers has been in operation in the Cape Town area since 2001.

Bar Gates & Palisade Type Fencing Open-spaced bar gates and fences offer a much higher level of visible perimeter security than walls, as intruders are unable to hide behind such fencing without the possibility of being seen from the interior and the exterior of the property. Timber is secured to a steel frame, and varnished prior to delivery. We have a wide selection of ornamental products to enhance the aesthetics of the finished structure, and/or spike-rails fitted horizontally across the top of gates and perimeter panels, making it more difficult for intruders wanting to climb over. Corrosion Protection All steel products will be hot-dip galvanized for rust protection, and in the event of on-site welding where necessary, ( repairs to old gates, etc, ) the weld points will be treated with appropriate anti rust & corrosion agents. We are also able to have your products powder coated if required, or painted to suit your property colour scheme. Sand, lawn, etc, is very efficiently kept off the path of gate travel in our unique track housing where appropriate. Motors can be programmed to close automatically after a pre-set lapse of time. An example of this is when a vehicle is still in the path of the gate travel, due to waiting for passing traffic before proceeding to drive through. While the vehicle (or a child, etc) obstructs the beams, THE GATE WILL NOT CLOSE ! Intercoms & Electric Locks A video or audio intercom system can be installed, which can be linked to operate an electric pedestrian gate lock, OR open and close a driveway gate, via the interior handset. Building Plans Building plans are required to be submitted to the local authority for all boundary erections and alterations. We will take care of all technicalities involved in drafting, submission and collection of approved plans as needed for domestic residential properties. For townhouse type complexes, apartment units and commercial properties it is advised to get the original architects to draft and submit.
