We produce handmade meditation cushions to the traditional Zafu & Zabuton design. The Zafu cushion ensures that you are comfortable whilst sitting in the correct meditation posture. The Zabuton Mat ensure that your ankles and legs are comfortable beneath you and that you have a comfortable (and sacred) space for your meditation. Available plain or handpainted in Denim or Natural fabrics.

We have also used wooden beads and cotton string as finishes where possible, ensuring the integrity of the natural and recycled nature of both products. These cushions and mats can still be washed and used in the same way that plain cushions and mats can and provide the same level of ease of sitting and effortless comfort, but with the added value of a personalised artwork. Conceptually this would allow me to experience perfect health as everything is energy and as such if my higher frequencies (my light body) are at optimum, my lower frequencies (my physical body) will be too. Then, position the sole of your left foot against the cushion’s edge so that it touches or almost touches the cushion itself. Once you have done this, pick up your right leg at the calf or foot with both hands and put it down on top of the left leg. You will find that your right foot will position itself either within the crook of your knee or just above it or below it. Sit down on your cushion and cross your legs infront of you. With the cross legged position it is sometimes more comfortable to sit towards the centre of the cushion rather than the edge as the knees naturally need less. (Runners find that the hips and knees are less flexible for some reason.) Once you have sat onto your cushion, place both your legs straight out infront of you. Then bend your left leg and position your left foot against the cushion’s edge, same as in half lotus. Leave your left leg on the ground and now bend your right knee and position your right leg on the ground, infront of your left leg. Bring your right leg close to your left leg so that the calves are leaning upon each other and you are comfortable. These are the two edges of the pelvis found in the flesh of each buttock cheek. Now that this is done, gently pull the belly button towards the spine and rest here. Drop your head forward and stretch your spine if you need to. (It can happen quite often if you sit for long periods of time). No need to go anywhere or do anything but just sit. First, just find peace in sitting still and breathing gently in and out with nowhere to go and no-one to be but yourself.
