Under the theme “Entering the 21st Century for Cancer Control in Africa”, topics covered in the Aortic 2011 conference will be around cutting edge cancer management, basic science and clinical research of cancers relevant to Africa.
Our key objectives are to further research relating to cancers prevalent in Africa, facilitate and support training initiatives in oncology for health care workers, create cancer prevention and control programmes and to raise public awareness of cancer on the continent.
The AORTIC 2011 conference will take place at the Intercontinental City Stars hotel in the Heliopolis area, 7km from the airport and 20km from downtown Cairo and there are no government buildings in the vicinity.
