My work concentrates on social commentary, especially focusing on the relational circumstances in modern society. and one of our greatest purposes. All creativity is born through The Creator, and in Him all creation finds it’s purpose. I believe our character is formed by life’s joys and tragedies. to share our gifts with those around us.
Local Artist and art Lecturer, Laurette de Jager started sharing her passion for art with like-minded individuals who expressed a desire to learn more about the art of oil painting, in 2010.My style is highly intuitive, concentrating on the emotional side of life.

My work during this year, 2014, served to substantiate my belief that; beauty can be found in everyday objects, that all beauty is flawed and that the true essence of a piece lies in its ability to engage the viewer in spite of what it may represent in the physical realm.
