Anton’s commercial career began in international commodity trade where he worked for global trading companies, Mitsui in Japan and Stemcor in South Africa, for a total of 7 years. He then spent three years with the Safren Group, where he was responsible for corporate finance and managed the unbundling and delisting of the group. Anton then led a management buy-out of Premier Foods in partnership with Brait Private Equity where he sold his Premier Foods shares some five years later in Anton joined Athena Capital in early 2013 and is jointly responsible for deal origination, negotiation and execution and leads Athena Capital’s deal executive team together with Jonathan Heinamann. Tom previously co-founded Finisterre Capital and to date remains the Chairman of Finisterre’s advisory board. He also co-founded DePfa Investment Bank, a specialist in Emerging Markets, and ran the London operations. Tom fulfills an executive role at Athena Capital and is actively involved in deal origination and expanding Athena Capital’s network in the UK and European markets.
