It is a terrible shock to most parents when a child is diagnosed with ADHD or any other learning disorder. For us it was the same when Henré, our eldest, was evaluated for the first time. Funnily enough, we did not pick it up ourselves until he was around five or six years old. But God has a wonderful way to teach us and to bring us back to earth. As an Asperger’s child he has been medication free since More excitingly for us, we test him regularly and there is no fall back! Till this day he does his hour training every week. Play Attention made significant changes in that same study. Students who underwent brain training games (cognitive training) required increases in medication. Our dream for our business was en always will be to give hope to other parents, that feels that there is no answers. He had been diagnosed six years earlier with Parkinson’s disease and early dementia caused by exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. George had been president of his own engineering company, was an avid golfer, and loved being outdoors. Unfortunately he had to sell his company, give up golf, and was fairly confined to the indoors. He could no longer read or write and was very depressed. I’ve been using Play Attention with George two or three times a week for two years. Now he can identify and go to any room in his house, practice golf on the Wii, read or listen to short stories, and answer comprehension questions. He and his wife can go out to dinner, go to the movies, and participate in a bible study group. Even while Parkinson’s disease slowly robs him of body control, Play Attention allows him to retain his mind and memory control. This is crucial for his psychological and emotional well being.
