BLUE ROCK is situated on the beautiful slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, a stone's throw away from Sir Lowry's Pass, Somerset West and Gordon’s Bay.
The other activities at Blue Rock are: volleyball, 6-7 metre high rock jumping point, 400 metre long fufi-slide as well as an enduro motocross track and a paintball field.
The Cable (the over-head pulling system) is made for kneeboarding, waterskiing and wakeboarding but surfing on a door or barefoot skiing has been seen before too! You can either bring your own equipment or hire some out. The only requirement is that you are able to swim. Shaded areas, umbrellas and deck chairs are available for hire.
The Blue Rock Restaurant and Café has a wide variety of Mediterranean dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner accompanied by homemade desserts. For beginners, there are skilled instructors for assistance. It is also a popular destination for kite boarders on a windless day. For advanced riders, Blue Rock is one of the biggest obstacle parks in the world. In summer, the water temperature reaches up to 26°C.
The Badi (our beach area) is great for relaxing, tanning and socialising. Chef, creates special dishes for elegant dining and promotes a healthy lifestyle, Robert Sibitz, cooking seasonal dishes using fresh and local produce. Depending on the weather, night skiing is offered on a Friday evening from 7pm - 9pm. School outings are made possible with subsidised tariffs.
Lake Blue Rock is the only lake in Cape Town with crystal clear water and a depth of 60 metre, which is ideal for commercial and scuba diving. For the children, there is shallow water, a children’s playground and a trampoline. Blue Rock is known for its crispy thin based Pizza à la Italia! Blue Rock also has a fully equipped conference centre which can seat up to 30 people as per cinema style.

If you are looking for fun, sun and adrenaline; then Blue Rock is the ideal place for outings with family & friends, birthday & bachelor parties, school & student outings as well as year-end functions! The Badi (Blue Rock’s so called beach area) is great for relaxing, tanning and socialising. For the children, there is shallow water for swimming and a children’s playground. For those who would like to try out rock-jumping, stand-up paddling and canoeing, there is a deeper swimming area available. Try our famous crispy thin-based Pizza a la Italia; the best Pizza you will have and perfect meal to share outdoors with your friends and family. Our menu also offers Schnitzels, Burgers, a variety of Sandwiches and Salads as well as various lunch options for groups of more than 20 people. Blue Rock can also be hired out for events such as Music Festivals, Film Shoots, Product Launches, etc. Home-made picnic food is allowed in the picnic areas (NOT in the Restaurant) but no take-away is allowed to be brought in nor any outside caterers. No drugs or illegal substances are to be brought in nor bought. We get some of our meat and stock from a certified Halaal supplier and can prepare that separately. Bookings & Pre-payments for groups of 10 people or more are required for the restaurant, conferencing, corporate/team-building functions as well as all activities. Irrespective of the size of the group, bookings & pre-payments are always required for skiing lessons and paintball. Instructions from the cable operators, boat drivers or any other Blue Rock workers must be obeyed at all times. Helmets must be worn at all times when going over obstacles (any age) Instructions from the Blue Rock workers must be obeyed at all times. No age restriction for rock-jumping as long as the minors’ parents/guardians approve it. Life-jackets must be worn at all times while stand-up paddeling and canoeing. Stand-up paddeling, canoeing and swimming is only allowed in the designated swimming areas.
