We as Cape Global are a member of the Merseta, we are registered with the Metal Engineering Industries Bargaining Council. We are also a member of the Construction and Engineering Association (CEA) as well as a member of the Labour Broking Division (LBD) of the CEA. We comply with all relevant legislation and regulations, duly registered with regulatory authorities. The Company was established in 1975, Mrs Luna Vermeulen bought the Company in 2001 and became the Managing Director. She then steered the company in a new direction and became the market leader in the field of labour outsourcing and training specialists. In 2006 she was a finalist in the nationwide Businesswoman of the year competition for medium businesses of the South African Council of Businesswomen. We have securred upcoming contracts in the mining industry in Mozambique and are exploring new markets in Nambia and Botswana. Most of our current contracts are ongoing and will increase dramatically in turnover in the build up to 2010 as these clients are mainly in the construction and hospitality industry. We have valuable expertise in the Oil and Gas Industry with our work at the fabrication plant at Saldanha Bay and the supply of skilled labour to the plants in Nigeria and Angola. Cape Global Holdings has strong ties towards our community and contributes to various charities and skills development programs. We are passionate about training and job creation and believe that future success of any company lies in skills retention and expansion of critical skills base. Having national and International accredited training centers and Welding Schools we are committed to training for the purpose of all new developments happening in our International School of Engineering where we train to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and AWS (American Welding Standards) standards for international demand. Cape Global Personnel Services has a polic of ongoing and pro-active recruitement. We have an extensive database of qualified, semi skilled and Skilled artisans. We comply with all relevant legislation and regulations. We are busy opening an office in Durban and hope to open one in Port Elizabeth soon. After completion of all reference checks, qualification verifications, initial interviews and credit checks where applicable, the skills of each candidate are assessed and entered onto our database. All Candidates are assessed with RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) as well as their formal qualifications and Information gathered by completing our job specific interview questionaires. Administration of wages, leave pay and sick leave are administered for all our workers, minimizing the needs for the client to conserve time and money managing these necessities.
