The Cape Leadership Centre is a small dynamic group of people who are passionate about leadership, team development, and facilitation. We have our own series of leadership and team development interventions, but also often co-design in-house programmes with our clients. We’ve made it our mission to bring out the best in your people because we know that investing in your people improves business performance and creates a positive team culture.

The Cape Leadership Centre was started in 2004 as the collective brain child of Tim Wigham and Anthony Shave, two former Royal Marine officers who saw a need and opportunity to develop people through an experiential approach to leadership. Integrating foundational principles from their military experience, they identified a suitable venue and built a professional obstacle course to assist with the experiential part of their approach. Using this venue, they worked with business teams as well as national sports teams, helping them to optimise their performance. Our approach, course offering and tools have been refined and developed over the past 6 years, but leadership and personal development is still central to what we do. Our varied consulting experience puts us in an ideal position to assist with sales, marketing, business development, and strategic focus issues. Our fresh outside perspective has helped organisations across a range of industries reconsider their position in the market place, fine-tune their marketing efforts, or re-design their sales strategy all-together. Consulting and coaching can take various forms, the extremes being a directive (authoritative) vs a directionless (chaotic) approach. We have combined the benefits of coaching and consulting into a consultative coaching model to help our clients clarify their thinking around strategy, company vision, economic barriers, and opportunities. Throughout the consulting process, the client remains in charge and is responsible for initiating the desired course of action. We simply use our business knowledge, coaching models and insight into our client and their individual needs and challenges to guide the conversation, ask clarifying questions, and help the client gain insight in their own thinking process. Based in Cape Town, we work with organisations across Southern Africa and as far as the UK.
