City Athletic Football Club situated in Steenberg/Retreat area, affiliated to the SPLFA (South Peninsula Local Football Association) established in 2012 focus on the youth within the community aiding them to enhance their football and life skills. The team currently has 80 registered members comprising all ages and fields. we focus not just on soccer but also life skills off the pitch. 31 year old Mr. Swartz has a great passion for football and children, has been working in local communities over 8 years with the establishment of City Athletic in Steenberg United has also made it to the last 32 of the nedbank cup challenge 2016 and lost in penalty shoot out to PSL team Platinum Stars. Parent and supporters arrives throughout all matches and support our stall. To develop players to their full potential and send them for trails or even over seas to further professionalism and development. It turns out that just as mindfulness has been shown to improve the quality of life, for yourself and others around you, so too has kindness. It has been linked to the body’s production of oxytocin (a hormone also released during love making and breast feeding) which produces a pleasurable sense of warmth and contentment. A study done found that when one person demonstrates kindness, it is likely to inspire others to act with kindness. Imagine what a pleasure it would be to live in a world of infectious kindness. In study done researchers found that acts of kindness help improve the health of people living with chronic illness, including HIV and multiple sclerosis. A similar Berkeley study found that elderly people who did volunteer work lived longer than those who did not. When you are able to show kindness towards others, you begin to see and appreciate similar gestures shown towards you. Instead of dwelling on the moments where others may have hurt or offended us, we start to think of the things we’re grateful for. Not only are others more likely to treat you with kindness when they witness you behaving and acting with kindness, but kindness improves the world for others and yourself. Practicing kindness is shown to correlate with an increased sense of meaning in life. Creating opportunities to engage our customers to better understand how they would want to be serviced by us. Actively listen to customers and involve them in all stages of planning and development.
