DEAL was founded in 1999 by Thilana Rossouw, who has twenty-seven years experience in the Human Resources Training and Development fields. We have been in the market for 18 years and have a track record of more than 3000 employees globally, who have attended our learning programs. The more than 200 organisations who have been making use of our service, can testify why they continuously return. Our mission is to train, develop and empower organisational employees by giving them the tools to take ownership of their career advancement. The success of any organisation relies on the performance and capcity of its workforce. DEAL has been accredited with the Services SETA since 2002 and awarded the status of full accreditation. The DEAL Training team is made up of knowledgeable and experienced staff and facilitators. We have provided in-house training programmes to several corporate, public and private organisations, including government departments, municipalites, universities, technikons, training institutions, corporate organisation, including banking, insurance and the retail sector. In 1998 Cash Bank (now African Bank) awarded DEAL the Western Cape contract to provide training to end-users in the low-cost and affordable housing markets. In 2000 Old Mutual Bank awarded D.E.A.L the national contract for this training, and in 2001 Greenstart Home Loans did the same. For two years DEAL was involved in an experimental program of Northlink College, Tygerberg Campus, assisting with workplace training and development of students who studied in Business Administrative Services and also presented bridging training to prepare students for future careers. Nicky Lowe is the DEAL consultant in Communication Skills for DEAL in the Gauteng region. Nicky has lectured at tertiary level for almost three decades in Business Communication and related subjects, presenting papers at conferences locally and abroad, from Edinburgh to Melbourne, and has published in peer-reviewed and online journals as well as chapters in books. She has chaired forums, such as the 2014 Skills Development Summit. She has written course material and facilitated workshops from Durban to Lagos. She has presented workshops and seminars for Wits University, corporates and the Association of College and University Housing Officers International in Africa. Danika is the Office Assistant responsible for updating and maintaining the Management Information System (MIS) and learner database for DEAL’s Contract with the School of Public Leadership (SPL), University of Stellenbosch for the Qualification in Municipal Financial Management. She captures the results in Access Reports, compiled by the Director, and processes final results from Moderation Reports. She also assists with marketing for DEAL on an ad hoc basis, and has proven to be extremely dynamic in liaison with clients. Danika is currently in the process of completing a qualification in office administration, and her experience at DEAL is a perfect platform to develop herself, apply her skills & knowledge, and build a successful career. Her motto in life is to learn, develop and to use every possible opportunity towards long-term career advancement.
