Retail and wholesale customers are welcome to visit our showroom shop. DuNoon Urban Weavers is a unique project in the Western Cape set up to encourage traditional Xhosa weaving in an urban area. Design Afrika has negotiated a special permit for the group to harvest imisi reeds in the Table Bay Nature Reserve, a conservation corridor which runs through urban Cape Town. Binky Newman has been traveling and working in Zimbabwe since 1975 and has a close working relationship with many of the producer groups. One of Design Afrika’s home grown range of unique organic shaped vessels, hugely successful around the world. Design Afrika carries a range of tablemats, woven runners, trays, and food covers. From vintage African craft to modern unique designs, Design Afrika has interesting pieces available for the collector. You can find stools, side tables, lightshades and wonderful fabric throws in Design Afrika’s range.
