Due to the technical nature of the operation, with our commitment to training and development, our staff is highly skilled in the various disciplines of production. Deslee Mattex draws its workforce from the greater Cape Town area and specialized skills are sourced through close relationships with our international partner and suppliers. Deslee Mattex maintains an ongoing in-service training program, with selected staff that is supported when doing advanced training through local tertiary institutions and international training at our associated DesleeClama plants. The proximity to Cape Town port allows Deslee Mattex to enjoy quick and efficient access to the harbour and all international sea freight routes. Deslee Mattex traditional customer base has been the South African bedding and related markets. Deslee Mattex is one of the largest jacquard weaving plants in the country. As such, Deslee Mattex is the principal supplier of jacquard woven fabric to the entire South African bedding market.
