To date, we have not had one complaint or claim that a worm farm is not fully effective or that anybody is fed up with their worms. They work tirelessly 24 hours a day eating our kitchen waste etc. No sand is added to the worm farms which is quite contrary to what people think. People are always amazed by these incredible creatures. Eisenia Fetida also commonly known as the Red Wriggler were first noticed by Charles Darwin in about 1832 and only in more recent years have been afforded the respect they so richly deserve. Although many people think that all worms are earthworms, there are in fact, many thousands of species of worms. Their nutrition comes from burrowed decaying roots, leaves and living organism. The longest earthworm was found in King Williams Town in 1967 which measure 7 meters long! (22 feet) The Red Wriggler is a compost worm which turns our kitchen waste etc. The Red Wriggler which is a hermaphrodite (having both male and female organs) require a partner to produce offspring. The Vermitea at full strength is diluted 1 part tea, to 10 parts water, giving phenomenal results to plants and vegetable gardens, also acting as a mild insecticide which totally organic, will not burn your plants.
