Should you have elected to ship your goods from abroad on a to-port basis, we will gladly take over the shipment on arrival to attend only to the import clearing and delivery. This allows us to provide accurate advice on import duty rates, import costings for various products, and quick clearances for export shipments. We understand that time is money, and quick and correct customs clearance is vital to a successful shipment. Import delivery to your shop or factory Cargo preparation for export shipments where needed. For first time importers or exporters, we will assist with SARS customs registrations and guide you through the process. Because we understand that travellers want to begin their trip without delay, we will handle all import formalities on your behalf including customs inspections and unloading of vehicles from containers or un-crating of motorcycles, ready for you to drive away. You can plan the arrival or your vehicle before your own arrival and if we have your Carnet document by courier, you will be able to come directly from the airport to collect your vehicle from our warehouse. For vehicles shipping per container, we will place the container on the ground in our depot, and although the loading and customs inspection procedure can take as quick as one hour, there will be no rush as the container will be available for a full day. Our export service includes all customs formalities and inspections. We offer a weekly worldwide shared and and own-use container departure service from Cape Town. Vehicles are typically shipped in an own-use container and motor cycles are crated for shipment per shared container. We can fit 2 motor vehicles into a 40 foot container. This is not compulsory but always recommended to render the vehicle non-hazardous for shipping. If the vehicle is classed as hazardous, the shipping fees are higher and shipping lines often take days to approve bookings. If your vehicle will arrive in Cape Town before you, please courier your carnet to us so that we can have your vehicle cleared and ready for you when you arrive. For imports our quote will inclde ALL services needed from the time that the vessel with your shipment arrives in port, until you can drive away. For exports our quote will inlude all required services from our depot, until your container or crate arrives at the destination port or container freight depot.
