About the founder and promoter behind the story: Nomakhazi Portia Jelwana-Schmidt born in Lady Frere Eastern Cape managed to build her carrier as a beauty therapist since 2006. Working at Cape Town and Johannesburg first being employed and since 2009 in her own beauty business.
After getting married to Ralph Schmidt and moving to Germany she founded her beauty business in 2017 at Nuremberg, Germany. She quickly advanced to be the number one nail salon at Nuremberg. She completed her education for skin care "Dermaologica Expert".
During the Corona Pandemic all of her clients stayed with her and even more came afterwards, because of the high quality of treatments and the high quality of clients (employees of big companies like Siemens, adidas or Puma, lawyers, bankers and shop owners in the city of Nuremberg). She now is offering her expertise and successful business concept as a franchise to others, who want to operate their own saloon called "Jelwana Nails & Beauty".

Portia, who emphasizes especially on cleanliness and accuracy at her work, trained Zandi and Sandi.
The full manicure treatment is done as follows:
After thoroughly washing the hands, old layers of polish, shellac or GEL are removed. Special care is taken, not to damage the nail itself. Trimming of cuticles and removal of excess cuticle skin are the next steps.
For beautiful nails, a wide selection colors of German high quality long lasting Shellac or GEL is available. This includes French and Baby Boomer (ombre) too. We are exclusively using high quality liquid GEL, not powder GEL as applied in some other shops. No smelling and unhealthy monomer is used like for acrylic.
Glitter or individual nail art can further enhance the beauty. Naturally, nail extensions can be done and given an indiviual and precise shape.
After the final shaping of the nail contour, a gentle hand massage will give you a pleasant relaxation.

Scarf-skin is not treated with electric machines or blades. Instead the traditional method with a foot files is used with great care. This method is much more pleasant and precise.
