The great thing about dealing with MacroLan is that today, we’re just as passionate about IT as when we started the company back in 1997 (and some might say even a little more so). Since then, the one thing that has changed however is the size of our team. We’ve grown it into a group of 30 dedicated staff members, all of whom share the same vision, values and desire to see MacroLan become the preferred Internet Service Provider for companies and resellers in and around Cape Town. We realise that everybody says they’re reliable and have your best interests at heart: but MacroLan is really different. Unlike many Internet Service providers we actually own a dedicated part on 2 of the high speed undersea fibre cables that connect South Africa to the world. This, along with our data centre in Cape Town, and space in Durban, Johannesburg and London, help us to provide our clients with very fast, efficient and secure internet access at all times. We’re big enough to do any job, but small enough to offer personalised service. This allows us to scale all service level contracts to suit each business partner's needs. We can also change services as and when the need arises (even while still in contract). We’ll also build a local point of presence in areas which do not yet have fibre network cables, allowing us to operate independently from other service providers. This means that our connectivity and uptime is substantially higher than many of our competitors. In fact, we promise all of our clients and business partners a reliable service that has a low data latency at all times and cannot be affected by copper cable theft (a very real problem here in South Africa).
