Here at Mary Poppins, all learners are lovingly cared for by experienced, dedicated staff who enjoy a variety of activities with the children on a daily basis. PARENTS CAN EXPECT THE FOLLOWING: All parents receive a weekly agenda to enable you to continue discussions at home with your children. The Pre-School/Grade R pupils also complete a school readiness assessment. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST: If required, our Occupational Therapist will assist children with assessments and weekly sessions at our school. MEALS: All children (including after school care pupils) enjoy nutritious meals everyday and pudding 3 times a week (day care pupils only). Later in the day, we serve a selection of whole wheat bread sandwiches, fruit & juice or rooibos tea in winter. Caring for & educating children since 1986 in a warm and homely environment. Mary Poppins Children's Centre is a daycare centre based in Wynberg, Cape Town. Send us your children and we'll show them a great time and give you peace of mind! We have easy and safe access to the school grounds via a gate at the end of our Cul-de-Sac. For younger children, we send a teacher to fetch them from the school. We care for and entertain them until it is time to go to school. We then walk them over to Wynberg Boys’ and Wynberg Girls’ Junior Schools and take them to their classrooms. Collection: After the school day, we collect the children from school and bring them back to the Centre. Children doing extra mural activities after school, are collected by us when finished. If the extra mural activity starts later than directly after school, we take them to the Centre and return them to school at the appropriate time. Lunch: Everyday, all pupils are served a cooked, tasty and nutritious meal for lunch. Snacks: Everyday, all pupils are offered a selection of whole wheat bread sandwiches, fruit and juice. Homework Supervision: Our extremely capable and loving staff are on hand to assist children with homework. We assist the children to study when it is assessment or exam time. Holiday care: As we remain open during the majority of the school holidays, holiday care is included in the monthly fee.
