The MMF is a non profit, voluntary foundation committed to providing platform for the inspiration and empowerment of South African citizens, mainly youth and beyond through promoting opportunities to support, connect and grow young people through lobbying, mentoring, networking, and developing and recognising excellence in young people. It also creates opportunities f young people to develop themselves through academic excellence, entrepreneurship, collective participation in development of our country and through sports, art and culture. Developing innovative thinking through entrepreneurial teaching and teaching for academic excellence. Fostering relationships with external stakeholders (skills development agencies) for the benefit of the unemployed youth. Facilitating access to funds for those who are eligible for tertiary education. Our values serve as a compass for our actions and describe how we behave in the world. HONORARY MEMBERSHIP The board may grant Honorary membership for such period as it deems fit to the person of distinction who has made significant contributions to the objectives of the Foundation and Honorary member shall have no voting rights. LIFE MEMBERSHIP Founders of the foundation shall carry the Life membership of the foundation as they carry the vision of the foundation and they may form part of the Board of directors in terms of advisory and changes to the constitution. BENEFICIARIES Beneficiaries shall be the people who have benefitted from the services offered by the foundation and the records of services rendered shall be kept by the Executive committee at all times for the purposes of sponsorship and assessment of the foundation. Each member must make sure that the database has the correct information in the prescribed form at all times. 2 Each Committee must provide the Board with up to date records of Committee members and when required, and the records kept by the Board shall be deemed to be correct. APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP 1 A person wishing to become a member must apply after there is advertised space within the foundation to be filled within the foundation and applications shall be submitted to the executive committee to verify the application 2 When application has been approved, the member shall enjoy all the rights and shall be subject to all obligation of membership granted. TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP Membership shall terminate when Board has reached a conclusion to terminate the membership in any of the following events: 1 When the member him/herself informs the Board in writing of his/her resignation and the Foundation has recorded the resignation. 3 If any member has not come to three successive meeting and has not apologised or given a good excuse, accepted by the Board and condones the absence: In the case of the Executive Committee representative, the Board shall inform the Executive Committee and ask it to appoint a substitute. 4 If a member has behaved in a manner that in the discretion of the Board, has placed MM’s standing into disrepute. The notice of the meeting must state that such a proposal is on the agenda, and the officer or member must be allowed to address the Board at a meeting if he/she so wishes.
