MindStretch addresses the challenges associated with ADD, Fine tuning of fine and gross motor skills, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD, to name a few.

With over 16 years in education, Jennifer is dedicated to assisting children with learning and behaviour challenges. Over a decade of experience in individualised evaluation and tailored therapeutic plans for children and young adults, with delivery both nationally and internationally. 2013: Introduced Mindstretch to the Mauritian Ministry of Education; included delivering therapy to autistic learners in Mauritius. 2009-2010: Extensive programme of work conceived and delivered for the Western Cape Education Department. A 2010 special initiative involved assisting Metropole South Education District in introducing HANDLE into all their full service schools. 2009-2010: Initiated and ran two charity initiatives, including assistance for children at the Agape School for cerebral palsy learners and the Alpha School for children with Autism, with dedicated follow-up over a 12-month period. We believe that every child can reach their full potential if learning challenges are addressed early in development. We offer the Mindstretch Preschool, Training for educators, medical professionals, caregivers and parents, and individualised Therapy. We have delivered quality education and therapy for over a decade. This simple exercise is good for hand-eye coordination, and it lets us create some interesting paintings. Focused on promoting verbal and non-verbal communication, the sessions are designed to be interactive and fun. We focus on the fundamentals, including pool entry and exit, floating, back and front swimming, and stroke improvement. We invite both Mindstretch learners and any other interested children to apply. Now, the school assists 24 learners with the help of a dedicated staff. Mindstretch provides a multidisciplinary approach to a wide variety of learning challenges. Such difficulties are often associated with ADD, ADHD, autism, Down syndrome, dyslexia, slow processing of information and an inability to complete tasks within a reasonable time-frame. Our holistic approach looks both within the individual and at the environment that might be contributing to learning challenges. Having identified the causes, we develop rational, individualized programmes aimed at strengthening and building the neurological pathways vital for learning and efficient functioning. By addressing the root cause, we can lower stress and positively impact other difficulties that an individual might be facing. HANDLE is founded on an interactive developmental model of human functioning. It incorporates research and techniques from medicine, rehabilitation, psychology, education and nutrition.
