Deidr é started MzansiStore.com after she noticed the need for small scale producers of quality handcrafted products to expand their brand to markets beyond their local street, local community or local crafters market. Her only wish is to increase sales for each of the small businesses that list with MzansiStore.com. All our products are made and manufactured in South Africa and we wanted a way to communicate that to you, our local-loving loyal (yes, that’s a thing now too! She has completed her Masters Dissertation research project which is the final requirement of a MSc Responsible Tourism Management from Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK. Here her professors Dr. Harold Goodwin, Dr Xavier Font and Simon Woodward have instilled in her the commitment to Responsible Tourism and a desire to make a difference. Adelé Bezuidenhout is a locally born and bred online marketing superhero with a passion to educate local businesses. Not only does she ensure the smooth running of our online presence, including our blog, but she aims to educate our suppliers on the power of social media to further their businesses. Kelly Williams, the all-round mzansi-genius, uses her BA with Corporate Communication and here amazing design abilities to portray our mzansi-flavour to the world. She is responsible for all our design work (brochures, banners etc) as well as our Public Relations and a whole lot more. Her skill set, reaching far beyond graphic design and PR, plays an invaluable role in our team. Mymoena has an uncanny ability to source new suppliers from across South Africa and is brilliant with all the day-to-day paper work and emails. Her people and admin skills make her an invaluable part of our team. She was our first supplier and is our closest friend. We could not have built this e-Commerce store without her beautiful handmade product range. We would not exist were it not for all the creative South Africans who make the beautiful things for sale on our store. We are always sharing new and exciting behind-the-scenes stories on our blog.
