In 1968 Sandy Gold opened the doors of Plumstead Electrical in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs. He was thirty four years of age with few Rands but a lot of sense. Since then the company has grown to encompass two successful showrooms and has become a formidable family business. Okavango Lighting Showroom was part of Sandy's vision of servicing Cape Town's Northern Suburbs, and has become a household name in the lighting world. This branch has become such a success that in 2010 it was moved into a large eight hundred square metre showroom to accommodate the innovative elements we now offer clientele. Sandy's legacy is being carried by his two sons Bruce and Glenn Gold. Their unwavering commitment and dedication to their clients is evident in this tight-knit industry.
