We believe that by creating the right partnerships we can implement valuable initiatives on the ground that make a concrete difference to the environment, livelihoods and the environmental education of children.
The PATT Foundation officially formed.

A UK registered charity and a Thailand Foundation operating throughout the Southeast Asia region. In conjunction with its reforestation projects, PATT conducts environmental education programmes for school children across the UK and Thailand. Youth education: educating our future leaders is critical to building a sustainable future. Sustainability: ensuring we help create a healthy environment for future generations. Plant a Tree Today Foundation is a registered Thai Foundation and British Charity established in 2005 promoting reforestation initiatives through environmental education. PATT’s projects focus on three main things: native forest restoration, environmental education and community development. These three components work together to create a sustainable impact for our future generation. Climate change is an increasingly global issue and there are countless ways to tackle its effects. Whether you are a company, an individual or a school, you can take action and make a change today with PATT Foundation. PATT has formed partnerships with a number of companies to enable us to implement our initiatives. Through providing funding, skills and support, these companies help bring about environmental change. PATT is humbled to have the growing support of young children, adults, families and communities from across the world. Bang Pu planting site is really special as you have to get into the knee high mud in order to plant trees. But at the same time planting in Bang Pu is really important as trees help clean the water and protect the communities living there from tidal waves. POSCO recognized the importance of such mangrove forests, and spent the whole day planting trees and cleaning the garbage from the area. The day started with the demonstration of the tree species growing in Bang Pu. This involved also some tasting by POSCO team, as leaves from mangroves turn salty due to brackish waters in which they grow. This involved numerous birds, crabs, and amazing amphibians that can live both in the water and on the dry land. Now that they learnt about the significance of these forests, it was time to plant some mangroves on the degraded seaside land. POSCO team had to get into the knee high mud, and get their hands and clothes all dirty. Being cautious at first, they soon realized that walking in the mud can be really fun. And when the last tree was planted one could see only smiles and happiness for giving something back to our environment. After thorough washing and restoring of the energy with the delicious lunch, POSCO team was not yet ready to finish their green day. Seeing all the garbage throughout the forest on their earlier walk, they wanted to help clean it. In the end they gathered a huge pile of picked-up garbage, and we can be sure that animals and plants living there were really grateful for this. This time is for the Third Grade students from ASB to enjoy their outing trip! Sunshine Day with Sunshine hearts from TCIS to enjoy their tree planting!
