Thabo holds Bachelor of Science (Quantity Surveying) and Bachelor of Commerce Hons (Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management) degrees, both from the University of Cape Town. He is a registered professional construction project manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions. He has over 16 years industry experience ranging from quantity surveying, property development and project management. He is a registered professional construction manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions. He has over 23 years industry experience ranging from construction management, property development, telecommunications and project management. He is a registered professional architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession. He has over 13 years industry experience in architecture and project management. Bob is a former director of Msingi and a construction Business Consultant, Researcher and Academic. Bob has occupied senior management and directorship positions in leading construction companies before embarking on an academic career at the Universities of Cape Town and Stellenbosch. He is a past president, and current member of the Interim Council of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Africa Region. He is also a Director of the Development Action Group (DAG), a Cape based NGO renowned for its people centred approach to housing delivery. The company is 67% black owned and pursues an active strategy of identification and development of black professionals through on-going training and mentoring.
