Riverbend Olive farm is a second generation family owned business set on the banks of the beautiful Breede river. The running of the farm is a family affair and all those involved are committed to producing a world class Extra virgin olive oil made solely from olives grown and extracted on the farm. The Oil Mill, under the watchful eye of Trevor Brodrick, has two Oliomio presses which are used to make the superb oil. Not only does the farm make their own oil, but presses for other smaller producers who don’t have the facilities to make their own oil! Situated next to the Oil Mill, is the Olive shed, where the delicious table olives are produced. The unique flavour of Riverbend table olives have been perfected over a number of years by Kathleen Brodrick and her recipe is a closely guarded family secret!She is also in charge of the manufacture of our very special 100% olive oil soap. We supply our product in case lots and also packaged as gift hampers. The farm also offers very reasonably priced self catering accommodation for those wishing to escape the city for a couple of nights and experience the very special atmosphere here beneath the Rooiberg mountains. The Olive Mill is situated in the middle of the olive grove on Riverbend Farm. In this way we are assured that no defects occur from bad handling or bad storage. The entire harvest is hand picked, transported to the factory and processed within 24 hours, using a full Oliomio production line imported from Italy in As an accredited member of the SA Olive Association, Riverbend complies with and operates to their prescribed international standards of excellence and displays the CTC seal on our products.
