Salient Design is a store design, and architectural design practice which was established in 2004, in Cape Town South Africa. We are interested in becoming one of the creative leaders in the industry, regardless of budget, and aim to produce high quality, creative and interesting design solutions within the budget of the client. We understand that most people have a restricted budget, but big dreams. We believe that we can creatively solve your design problems, maximizing the potential of your budget whilst creating the best design solution. Brendan Collocott founded Salient Design in 2004 with a goal in mind of achieving greater creative freedom, he still lives with this dream. Brendan has worked internationally and locally on a variety of interesting projects, with a variety of budgets, but the one theme always present is an efficient, and creative use of the clients budget to enhance their investments. He believes that a lot can be achieved, for very little money and is more interested in creative freedom than large budgets. At the end of each marked phase, you will have a product which will add value to your project, regardless of wether you continue with Salient Design's services or not. The idea is to decrease the risk on your total spend and guide the final product with each step. The industry norm is only to provide you with costing information once you are well advanced into the architectural services on a project, and thus deeply invested. 75% of the architects fee's will have been paid before you are provided with a costing reference based on your design. To provide a detailed and accurate cost, we know and understand that precise specifications, and detailed drawings are required. We however believe, that an earlier costing is necessary to ensure that we, and you are on the right track within your budget.
