Yoga brings you individual yoga instruction and massage by Aidan Walsh. This makes the style particularly accessible to any individual, of any age or any fitness level. Aidan teaches Ashtanga Style Vinyasa which draws on the knowledge of pure Ashtanga Yoga but allows for more variability and adaptability in the choice of postures and the sequencing of those. Sequences can be created to address specific issues holistically and traditional poses can be modified to accommodate an individual’s own ability and goals.Body of Bliss Massage is a unique form that draws on various techniques that are intuitively adapted to the needs of each client specifically.

Asana are various postures which are practiced in a class to strengthen, tone and purify your entire body. Good asana practice has a few requirements, chiefly stability and comfort. The primary tenet of Yoga is to do no harm, and a s such, all of our classes are suitable, for absolute beginners. Pranayama are breathing exercises used to aid the practice of asana and meditation, usually 5 minutes at the end. Asteya: non-misappropriation, and respect for others' property. A healthy spine & nervous system are a pre-requisite to optimal health There are 5 foundations: standing, sitting, supine, prone & inverted There are also 5 orientations: forwards, backwards & sideways bending, rotated and elongated. As the body becomes supple and strong through Asana practice, breathing techniques are also used to cleanse and nourish both the mind and body Pranayama initiates meditation and is of 3 kinds: Those that warm the body. The initial practice of meditation begins with the training of the mind to withraw from sensory stimulation and become introspective. In the subsequent stage of meditation the mind is trained to defer to a specific object of meditation, such as the breath. Medicine Buddha is the imaginary embodiment of the natural healing potentials within ourselves, and is an object of meditative contemplation. A mantra is recited silently or aloud over and over to focus and still the thinking mind.
