He is well known for conservative treatment and the use of MRI in determining diagnosis. SSOC specialises in identifying and treating all sports injuries with our main emphasis focusing on knee injuries. Using your own biology to aid healing and create a better environment for recovery to take place. SSOC works closely with rehabilitation professionals, including physiotherapists, biokineticists and sports medicines doctors. Dedicated team of specialist knee surgeons who are active locally and internationally, travelling abroad to gain international experience several times per year. We provide a comprehensive service in one venue where patients can come for a consultation to be diagnosed, obtain x-rays or an MRI, be treated whether conservatively or surgically and rehabilitated. We are also heavily focused on research locally and internationally, and have our own outreach program. The Sports Medicine Centre is within walking distance to the Newlands Rugby Stadium. The centre serves as the specialist hub for the management of Western Province contracted players, with the ability to facilitate fast, efficient and effective diagnosis of medical and injury diagnosis.
