STAR ALARMS was established in 1981 as a small family operated business and has grown in reputation and size to become one of the most successful alarm and armed response companies in the Western Cape. Although STAR’s Rapid Response teams operate only in Table View and surrounding areas, STAR Alarms installations are performed all over the Western Cape. STAR’S reputation in the industry is one of high acclaim and it is no surprise that they are the market leader within the above mentioned area. STAR has remained a family based business and has therefore never lost the personal touch when it comes to servicing their clients. For over 10 years Star Alarms have protected our house and business premises. With recent burglaries the Star team was very effective and helpful in attending and securing the premises until the police arrived. Their alarm systems and armed response service are very effective and their installation and alarm upgrade service is very professional. Please be so kind and take the information of Mr. Douglas Quayle from people that should be advised as soon as the alarm goes off, as he no longer is part of the family, for three years. What started as a garage based business with approximately 100 clients grew steadily when Joe’s sons Craig and Jody joined the operation assisting with the installation of alarms. In 1998 it was time to move into an office and Joe, Craig and Jody built Star’s 1st control room from where their clients’ alarms could be monitored shortly after that. Craig eventually took over sales as the staff compliment had grown to 10 and there were now 3 installation vehicles on the road. In 2003 Star opened their Rapid Response division resulting in Jody moving into sales and Craig moving into a more office driven position to start managing the staff.
