The Nut House Recording Studios is a World renown and well respected International Award Winning Studio nestled on the slopes of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa. We service the Advertising industry as well as working with artists and musicians both locally and internationally. Our skilled and friendly Sound Engineers are ready to work with you. No project is too big or too small and we are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have a creative and rewarding experience in our Studio. The Nut House has wide experience in all aspects of recording for radio, TV, theatre, cinema and CD music productions. Our Musical Director, Andrew Ford, is able to write arrangements for all genres of music. Andrew is an enormously talented musician, performer and composer and draws on this wealth of experience as Musical Director at The Nut House. Andrew has achieved international acclaim and received awards for music and post production from Cannes Lions, London International Advertising Awards, The New York Festivals and of course our own Loeries. As an arranger, he is constantly in demand by Big Bands and he has conducted various orchestras including The Cape Town Symphony Orchestra. Julian Ford has been in the sound industry for over 40 years and began his sound career with ABC Television in England. He became a Senior Sound Supervisor at Thames Television, London and worked with many well known celebrities on many televised variety shows in London's top theatres. Julian has an immense wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the sound business and as one of Cape Town's top sound engineers has worked with the SABC and many international crews on films, advertising, music videos and many other projects. Julian was a lecturer at one of Cape Town's leading Film and TV colleges for several years. Gina efficiently handles all bookings and administration for the studio. Gina delights in ensuring that each recording session runs smoothly and her flexibility and resourcefulness often proves indispensable. We've found that Gina is ideally suited to dealing with the variety of challenges that each new session and project brings. It's clear that Gina has found a niche for her talents and she has become a vital part of the studio's success. Gina also handles PR, advertising, marketing, client support and Finale scoring. He believes in producing only the best sound possible. He knows his way around the studio and delivers fast efficient service. Beyers is always open to new ideas and his friendly personality makes it great working with him.
