Originally Timbacore started off with the main focus on Installations with only four staff members. In 2001 a new era for Timbacore started as the Shop was opened in upper Durban Road (Tygervalley area), where timber products, such as poles, loose timber, trellises, fencing panels, garden edging, railway sleepers, etc were on offer to clients. This Shop grew rapidly and even within two years, new premises were required as the one of 500 square meters was too small. This was of short due, for new developments within the Durbanville area again forced Timbacore to look for new premises. By then management has seen this as an enormous challenge, due to the fact that the Factory, then situated in Blackheath and the installation Department in Maitland, also needed to be moved onto one premises.
