Under the creative direction of Andrés Brosou, Triumph Travel brings together a modern, experiential and bespoke approach to Travel. A Luxury Travel Company with a focus on Southern Africa, Triumph Travel designs truly unique travel experiences. Our first hand expertise allows us to create travel experiences that are special and best meet the guests’ expectations. Alongside Table Mountain the Cape Peninsula is a real must to do whilst in Cape Town. Rather than just zip past the peninsula highlight and join the tourist crowds at its numerous viewpoints, we are going to explore the views and Peninsula itself through a series of short hikes. At Kalkbay we explore the working fishing harbour to meet the colourful and entertaining fishing folk. Heading to Simon’s Town, we will find our own rogue Penguins on a secret beach only accessible to the locals. Lunch option is either fine dining or go local at Salty Sea Dogs, a local fish and chip shop with a lot of history within Simon’s Town Harbour itself. In the Cape Peninsula Reserve itself, we will take a gentle hike exploring the ship wrecks, secluded beaches and wildlife of the Peninsula. The return journey back along the Atlantic side is a story of amazing views, hidden local cafes and water holes. We will weave our way back to Cape Town via Noordhoek with a stop at Cape Point Vineyards for some of South Africa’s finest Sauvignon Blanc. Many animals are on their way to drink water at this time so keep in mind that the hours where the heat is not so intense are the most appropriate for the encounter with animals. The rangers will use all of their knowledge and share this with the guests to make the experience enriching. During the safari it is important to follow the ranger’s instructions (this is the key to a successful safari). The ranger will always try to position the vehicle in various ways in order for everyone to get a great sighting. Safaris usually last between two and half hours to three hours and return thereafter to the lodge for breakfast. Lunch is served at your leisure and in the afternoon return to the meeting point for another adventurous afternoon in search of animals. Three hours of adventure and unforgettable experiences are waiting. Safaris are unique and generate a very special communication, especially among families who wish to share moments of togetherness. During this second safari the ability to watch the sunset will inspire unforgettable moments, as this will be one of the highlights of your trip. Dinner is ready, and during the dinner, relive your experiences by swapping stories with other guests or asking the guides for their comments. Layers are a great way to pack light, but stay warm. Layers allow you to remove clothing to make yourself comfortable as temperatures fluctuate.Comfortable trainers are suitable for most safaris, even walking safaris. You can expect to climb in and out of the safari vehicle frequently to do some light walking around the bush.
