Hout Bay offers Grandeur and Natural Beauty: This little fishing village with its unique combination of fishing harbour ambience and country atmosphere, its yacht club and long sandy beach on an ocean inlet framed by mountains, is quite exceptionally beautiful as a glance at the photograph will reveal. Hout Bay is close to all major Tourist Attractions and is positioned centrally to form the ideal base from which to visit all the Cape Town attractions and even the Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek Winelands. There are excellent facilities to pursue a very wide range of activities from the most adventurous to the most relaxing. These include: Abseiling, Horse Riding, spectacular hiking and cycling trails, Game Fishing(so good that it is a centre for international competitions), the whole gamut of aquatic sports (with Sea Kayaking as the popular newcomer), Sunset Champagne Cruises to Cape Town’s Waterfront, Boat Trips to Seal Island in a glass bottomed boat and even Whale Watching (as many as 24 have been seen in the bay at one time in recent years). The list is virtually endless and for the less energetic it is simply a wonderful spot to relax, sip a glass of good South African wine, soak up the sun on the adjacent wind sheltered beaches and enjoy the great gifts of life. Troodos House is set beautifully on the mountain side, bordering on a forest and with it’s own large indigenous garden, with magnificent mountain and valley views. The main house has four en-suite double bedrooms, all with full picture windows with unobstructed views, overlooking our unique rim flow pool. The rooms all have sliding doors, leading on the two large pool decks and have ceiling fans. The fully equipped self catering cottages feature French doors which open into the patio and garden, with its panoramic views. Hout Bay is situated on the very popular Cape Town Atlantic Seaboard and is only 20 minutes away from Cape Town Centre and the V&A Waterfront, as well as the start of the wine route. Hout Bay has its own beach, quaint fishing harbour, craft market, excellent shops and restaurants, all only five minutes from Troodos House. Each bedroom has a separate entrance leading from the pool deck to their bedroom. There are two beautifully fitted and equipped self-catering cottages, each with double en-suite bedroom (with queen size bed) and lounge with double sleeper couch.
