What you should know about Western Cape Tours
Take a half day, a full day, or even include the evening, and see why Cape Town is such a popular tourist destination. Corporate clients are collected either at the airport, their hotels or their homes and driven around to their meetings for the day. If you let us know in advance where the meetings are going to be held, then you won’t be asked for directions, or worry about how to get there. Should you wish, we can have someone meet you at the airport and go through the whole route with you and explain anything you don’t understand. There is also a 24 hour number to call should you have any problems or questions. We can even supply you with a South African sim card for your phone to make it easier for you to make any calls should you require. Have your photos taken at the various sights/attractions along the routes, so the whole family/group can be in the photos, without a family member of a group member always missing out on being in the picture. We have select guides who are avid photographers and will quite happily do this optional extra for you. The Breede, Berg and Olifants Rivers are the major rivers of the province. The Capital is Cape Town and the other major cities include Stellenbosch, Worcester, Paarl and George. There are more plant species occurring on Table Mountain than the entire United Kingdom. The vegetation is characterised by various types of shrubs, thousands of flowering plant species and some small trees. The drought resistant shrubbery found is found in the arid interior, the West Coast and the Little Karoo are semi-arid with many species of succulents and acacia trees and drought resistant shrubbery. The Garden Route is extremely lush, with temperate of Afromontane forest areas covering many areas next to the coast and along the mountain ranges. Most of the province has a Mediterranean climate with cool, wet winters and warm, dry summers. The Karoo has a semi-arid climate with cold, frosty winters and hot summers with occasional thunderstorms. The Garden Route and the Overberg on the south coast have a maritime climate with cool, moist winters and mild, moist summers. Western Cape Tours was born out of a desire to let others experience the beauty and splendor that Cape Town, the Western Cape and the rest of South Africa has to offer. Since August 2008, he has been directly involved with international and local clients and has a good understanding of how the tourism industry works and assessing clients’ requirements. Allan has worked for a number of companies over the years as a freelance tourist guide, chauffeur and chaperone and also has four years experience in the car rental industry. The main tours Allan specialises in are in the Western Cape area: Cape Town, Cape Peninsula, the Cape winelands, the R62 winelands, Hermanus and the Garden Route during which time he has gained extensive knowledge about the area and the activities available. The chauffeur work involved everything from driving executives on their roadshows, to driving a left hand drive 8 metre long limousine for weddings, matric dances, promotions and competitions. He still works in the movie industry as a chaperone looking after actors, actresses, directors, producers and agency staff, as well as liasing between the production house and the client. Through all these experiences, the one thing that stood out for Allan was client satisfaction is always of utmost importance. He believes that the clients’ experience should exceed their expectations and Allan strives to make this a part of his everyday life.
