Our farmers are exceptionally committed to organic farming and go to great lengths to ensure that we receive their best produce. They build the soil, have respect for water resources and work hard to maintain diversity. They treat livestock ethically and humanely, looking after the physiological and behavioural needs of their animals. One of our rules is that animals must be given plenty of space and fresh air to thrive, grow, and live a genuinely free range life. Almost all of our farmers are certified although occasionally we choose to support a farmer who is not yet certified but farms the right way. (Not having certified status does not mean that the produce isn’t top quality.) All of our veggies and fruit are farmed without the use of synthetic fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides. Livestock is treated ethically and humanely: there is no routine use of antibiotics and hormones and their physiological and behavioural needs are met. As far as possible, our produce is sourced locally, packed in packaging that is in line with organic principles while keeping storage and transportation to a minimum. We value the relationships with both our customers and our producers. This tells you what's in our bags each week, with no obligation to purchase. Fresh, organic fruit and veg bags are at the heart of what we do. Each week, we source high quality, organically farmed produce, and hand pack a bag of the best of what’s in season which we deliver each Wednesday to a convenient collection point, or even to your home or office, in or around Cape Town. Our fresh fruit and veggies vary weekly, as we follow the seasonal harvest of local farmers. You’re welcome to add some tasty extras to your Wild Standard or Mini Bag from our selection of breads and cheeses, meats, dried and bottled goods. We choose 8-9 items from the same list as the Wild Standard bag: good for one person. Fresh, organic fruit and vegetable bags are at the heart of what we do.
