Further to this Sunfoil also sponsored the ODI series between South Africa vs. Sri Lanka.Sunfoil have been involved in cricket development for the past five years, largely in the KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng regions, and more recently became sponsors of the Sunfoil Dolphins. This partnership not only gives the Group a bigger stake within the cricketing environment, but aligns them to one of the top brands in the country, the Proteas.Willowton Group has decided to continue the Sunfoil sponsorship of Proteas Test Series cricket for a further four years. The partnership commenced in the 2011/2012 season and has grown from strength to strength. The proudly South African brand is supporting the Proteas Cricket team all the way, as together they believe they can achieve all their goals! Education is a vitally important part to helping build South Africa as a nation and Willowton Group feel by forming this education trust they can encourage the beneficiaries to study and to help grow future stars in the game of cricket and also encourage children to play cricket which is a great team sport that teaches teamwork and good values. Through Willowton Group extending its sponsorship of the Proteas Test series cricket for a period of four years through the Sunfoil brand, the new deal will also include sponsorship of the four-day domestic competition. Started in 2007, the Sunfoil Township Cricket initiative has made it possible for children and teenagers from rural and township areas across Kwazulu-Natal to fully embrace the thrill, excitement and spirit of the game of cricket! With a view to develop each participants talents on the field, as well as giving all the players a better appreciation of the positive life skills cricket teaches us, Sunfoil Township Cricket is not only about learning the game, but the value it adds to the lives of those who play it! Cricket, and sport in general, have been a unifying factor in our country, and Willowton Group are confident that the Sunfoil Township Tournament will unlock some of the future cricketing stars of our country and province. To further grow the potential of the youngsters involved, Sunfoil Township Cricket offers various bursaries and scholarships that can be used to support either sport or academic futures. A little goodness goes a long way and we are determined to make a difference at grassroots level where it counts the most.
