All about stuff you may be interested in finding out more about and a whole lot you probably won't.

If you need to know more about horses, how to wire a plug so you don’t kill yourself or what colour underpants Nelson Mandela was wearing on the day he was released from prison, you will find it here. Ok, we’re kidding about the Mandela one but we do intend to cover just about everything else over a period of time. A visit to the zoo can leave you wanting to know all about tigers. Tigers are one of the earth’s most majestic animals, and one of the most impressive and largest of all of the big cats. There are some facts about the tiger’s diet and natural habitat that are incredibly interesting and will leave you wondering why you have never tried to find out more about this beautiful cat. Tigers originate from Eastern and Southern Asia and are not found anywhere else on the planet, unless they are in a Zoo. There is more than one type and these different types are found in different zones. Tigers are extremely adaptable animals and you can find them in forests, dry desert-like areas and even in swamps. They are often found in areas that are very close to where people live. This has meant that they have been hunted, or have caused problems in populated areas. Sadly, the facts are that of the nine species of tiger, three are already extinct. Their habitat has also been reduced because of deforestation and the use of land for agriculture and housing. Their diet is extremely diverse and depends on the region they live in. As the largest of the big cats they are pretty much at the top of their food chain. Tigers have extremely large sharp teeth and if you are the animal they set their sights on it is unlikely you will get away. In India, they are likely to eat buffalo, water buffalo, boar and deer. These giant cats will eat whatever they choose and have even been known to eat snakes and crocodiles, and also smaller animals like monkeys and birds. When you’re in the market to buy a puppy or puppies there are some facts about dogs that you should know. These sorts of things can’t be learned from gazing into the shop window and staring at the puppies so whether you approach your vet or a dog breeder first, you should also ask for advice. This could be on anything from the types of dogs that would be suited to your home, to what types of dogs are best suited to going for a run with you after a hard day. It’s worth investigating all of the facts about dogs if you are interested in getting one, or if you have one and are worried about your new pet. If you are looking at getting puppies you should look at training for the dogs. Trained dogs are more pleasant to be around, calmer around other dogs, and just generally better behaved. Some breeds are more difficult to have at home, whereas others respond really well to training. Different breeds are ready to be trained at different ages, and if you get them at the wrong age it can make it far more difficult to train. If you live in a small home and don’t have a garden you might want to reconsider getting one. If you’re desperate to get one, smaller dogs are better suited to smaller living spaces. It is cruel to purchase a large animal if you live in a small flat or house, and they will become frustrated and boisterous, or depressed. Like children they build up all their energy which can result in tantrums, disobedience and sulking. Puppies are a beautiful addition to every home but it’s important to know all about dogs before you buy one.
