Having worked in the jewellery industry for 10 years as a designer and diamond grader, my real passion has always been photography. My photographic style has a unique artistic and expressive approach while striving to document all the details. I’ve always imagined a photograph to be like a jigsaw puzzle, you have to find the various pieces that fit together to create something visually spellbinding. Snap, and a moment is captured, forever still, saved for generations to see; whether it portrays a strong visual message, or simply an abstract composition. The Martin family wanted me to capture the entire generation of their family together. Although it was an extremely hot summer’s morning for a family shoot, everyone put their best smiley faces on. With family shoots it’s always nice to capture the individual personalities. With family shoots it’s all about getting the family to show their love for each other. The Burrows family is one of the sweetest families around. The close bond between them, their different personalities and their relaxed demeanour made the shoot really easy and lots of fun!! Carey and Jamus’s couple shoot with their dog Dexter was ultimately one of my favourite shoots. It’s always nice to create these special and everlasting memories and they were an absolute pleasure to photograph! The greys and autumn colours of the background really made all the other colours so much more vibrant. Her awesome personality made for a very entertaining shoot and memorable occasion to capture. They can be photographed at my studio or a location such as a forest, open fields or in the comfort of your home. A studio shoot has more controlled lighting for a distinctive look whereas a location shoot will provide natural images with a more relaxed and warm feel to them. A location will offer more variety when it comes to different settings depending on the location that is chosen.
