Specialising in bespoke interior installations, Berg Studios adds personalised touches, colour and unique texture to any space. With finished gesso, èglomise or antiqued mirror, and hand-painted wallpaper, our team draws their inspiration from olde world aesthetics and craftsmanship, delivering in eclectic design. Gesso, an age old plaster mix, has been used as a primer for murals and artworks for centuries. It is still being used as a base for water guilding. or possessing similar visual and textural qualities as that of crocodile skin. Whatever the colour or texture, pattern or placement thereof, each panel has the same effect on the beholder, an undeniable urge to run ones hand over its surface and watch how the light dances over its shapes. Technical information: These panels are created by applying a thin layer of Gesso, which is a water-soluble plaster, onto canvass. Although an apt draftsman, able to work comfortably with most mediums, her chosen and most perfected is without a doubt that of painting in oils.Having based her thesis on light and colour and, as a young artist, drawing inspiration from the French colourists, historically known as The Impressionists, her love of oil paints comes as no surprise.
