Our Mission is to serve the interests of our members through representing their views and providing services of value. The Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is constantly reviewing its service offerings to ensure we remain relevant, and assist our members to grow their businesses. Many of our services are aligned to international chambers of commerce standards, but we are mindful to keep our offerings relevant to the local market. The following services are available to members, however, based on industry needs and events, we offer additional services and events throughout the year. Established in 1804, the Cape Chamber of Commerce is the oldest member-based organisation in Africa. The Chamber has remained contemporary and relevant with a wide range of services, including information, training, networking, trade facilitation and robust advocacy on behalf of our members. The Chamber monitors proposed legislative changes that could affect our member’s interests. Where necessary, evidence is submitted to the appropriate Parliamentary Standing Committee or other authorities on behalf of our members. Our membership base is representative of nearly all sectors in the Western Cape Region. We communicate extensively with them via a multitude of digital media and standard platforms including regular outgoing emails and numerous events of all types and sizes. As a member of the Cape Chamber of Commerce & Industry you are entitled to advertise in the media to promote your products and services at a discounted rate. We are widely recognised for our numerous events which provide opportunities for both formal and informal networking opportunities. In addition to dedicated networking functions, we also host a wide variety of events that range from information sessions by leading figures in government and industry, as well as training sessions and major events such as business expos and symposiums. Meet like-minded business people across all sectors and sizes, build relationships and open your business up to our substantial business network. The Business Information Department answers a variety of questions on business-related matters on a Regional, Local, National and International level. The Cape Chamber of Commerce & Industry has a variety of meeting and conference facilities available for hire to our members at discounted rates. The rooms vary in size and come with a full selection of conference equipment including flip charts and pens, data projectors, flat screen tv’s and DVD players.
