 She has always believed in building sustainable careers, but lots of hard work from both sides, which many of the artists in her gallery have achieved.  It required not only talent, the gallery as well as the artist. This 12 year old gallery in the center of Cape Town showcases the best of contemporary South African photography as well as a fine selection of art in a variety of media.  Regular monthly exhibitions by emerging and established artists.  We advise on private collections, corporate collections and museum collections.  Gallery owner, Heidi Erdmann has worked in the arts industry for the past 18 years.  She has curated numerous exhibitions both locally and abroad.

This is the first exhibition of Angela Buckland’s photographs from her latest and ongoing series, Abakweta. Erdmann Contemporary is proud to announce our participation in the upcoming edition of the Turbine Art Fair, A survey exhibition of Nomusa Makhubu’s practice as a lens-based artist. Our E-Books are researched and produced by our visiting interns, in consultation with our gallery staff. Our internship programme, in place for more than a decade, is only open to registered students from select institutions, both locally and abroad.
