Our vision is to make scholars who will be able to be role models and make a difference in society, firstly through their piety and secondly, through their knowledge. CTIEC has vision to change communities from within and not based on exterior appearances. CTIEC Cape Town Islamic Educational Centre is currently working on an ambitious and visionary building project to create a purpose built Islamic Centre at the heart of the Muslim community in Cape Town; for Muslim brothers and sisters, families, the elderly, mothers, fathers, the youth, our children and all those in the wider community. We aim to provide a sanctuary for prayer and knowledge that will preserve the Islamic identity, encompass the true beauty of Islam and unite us to attain success and goodness. In our multicultural, multiracial and predominantly non-Muslim country, CTIEC aspires to lead as an exemplar place of worship and learning and hopes to help remove the misrepresented image of Islam in our society. Since its founding in 2011 the CTIEC has undoubtedly become an invaluable centre of worship and activity, with an important role in uniting and serving the community. CTIEC has not only provided a educational facility but has become a well known place for community work in Cape Town. However, it has long been felt that the current facilities of the CTIEC are inadequate to allow further development of ideas and services that are much needed for our community. Therefore a project to create a modern purpose-built centre has been launched to help us meet the changing needs of the community and its new generations. This new building will act not only as a place of prayer, but will become an asset and focal point for the whole community, bringing together young and old, men and women. An Islamic Library and a resource centre for local schools and colleges. In Islam, the objective of education is to prepare individuals to be guided and governed by the spiritual and ethical values of Islam which would then have a positive effect on their actions, decisions and approach in life. Our goal is to instill Islamic values during the developing years when Islamic education is in greater need to counter the ills of society. This is even more critical for young developing minds. It is essential to provide a rich stimulating environment for the general development of our children. This includes physical, mental, social and emotional activities to mould and develop their minds, character and attitude in accordance with Islam. At the same time we are providing opportunities for parents who are willing to educate their children in an Islamic environment. Nurture their personalities towards the best moral and social conduct, healthy attitudes and self-discipline. Children learn not only from classroom instruction but also from the behavior and actions of the adults around them. Our qualified teachers are also observant Muslims who serve as good role models. The aims of this educational establishment is to provide opportunities for students to have an in depth understanding of Deen. Develop the love for Allah and his Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) Producing individuals who have the capacity to think for themselves, to know their own minds but to have the flexibility to listen to others. Encouraging all pupils to appreciate the needs of others and be sensitive to them, to work in teams and be able to recognise from right and wrong.
