We know that the key for your business to be exceptional, is underlined in the way it is managed and presented as a brand. Initially just for our own agency clients, but we’ve decided to set it up as a brand, to stand on its own. We strive to make the working experience at Sorted amazing all the time. We spend a lot a time at work, it should be at least some sort of fun. Inevitably something will go wrong with a delivery or project. Even if nothing does go wrong, make time and spend some energy on after-sales-gratitude. Some words from some mouths are more powerful than others, but these mouths are the least accessible ones. This can turn your loyal customers, into customers who prefer your brand above anything else. The successful creative will join our Cape Town Team, bringing a flair for the creative to our already amazing working environment. Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and on multiple streams of work at once. Strong creative, conceptual, design, typographical and illustration skills. At least 2-4 years’ agency experience in graphic design and advertising. Thorough knowledge of printing processes and experience in briefing photographers, illustrators, art workers and retouchers. A collaborative approach and the ability to problem solve and think strategically. It’s crucial though, to keep in mind that a plan is just a guide to a certain kind of desired future and setting goals are just a way of trying to have some control over the future. This makes it exceedingly difficult to predict the future, which in turn, makes it particularly challenging for any entity to set goals or have plans. To create a starting point, we need to gather and analyze information from the past. So only the past has any information to use in trying to predict the future, but the information will inadvertently be full of holes. When Alexander Fleming was cleaning his lab, he found that penicillium mold had contaminated one of his old experiments. My point with them is just to illustrate that even though we have what we think is a finely tuned plan, we must always keep in mind that we never really know where the biggest results will come from. No one has any real control over the results, since the desired results of our goals are in the future. Effort can prepare us to be able to identify the right opportunity. Effort spent on opportunities that didn’t work out develops preparation, awareness and experience. Awareness and experience can give you confidence to make the most of the next unexpected opportunity.
